ONE-STEP SPARING

1. Skip side step left to outside of opponent (horse riding stance) and block punch with left palm block, right left double punch.  Skip side step back fighting stance and right roundhouse kick to opponent’s stomach.

2. Step forward right to back stance and execute right outside/in middle block, right to opponent’s arm, twist body counter clockwise and left elbow strike to stomach. Left back fist strike to the face, step back right to fighting stance and execute left skip side kick to the opponent’s stomach

3. Switch feet. Left reverse sidekick. Right roundhouse kick finish in horse riding stance, execute left palm block, right punch.

ONE-STEP SPARRING

Attacker: Step back right and execute front stance, down block, step forward right and execute front stance, right middle punch

1. Execute front leg left, double kick ( front snap kick and side kick). Bring left foot down and step forward right to front stance and execute left palm block. Twist your body to riding horse stance and execute right middle punch

2. Execute front leg left skip side kick. Bring left foot down and step forward with right foot to front stance and execute left palm block.  Twist your body to riding horse stance and execute right left double middle punch.

3. Execute double kick right (side kick and roundhouse kick). Land foot in front stance and execute palm block.  Twist your body to riding horse stance and execute right punch to face

FORM : Taegeuk IL Jang

From Joon-bi, pivot to your left(west)into Left Walking stance and down block with the left arm.
Step forward into right walking stance and front middle punch.

Turn all the way around to your right(east)into right walking stance and down block with the right arm.
Step forward into left walking stance and middle punch with the left arm.

Turn to the left(north)and step forward with the left foot into left front stance. Immediately throw left down block, followed by reverse punch with the right hand.

Turn to the right(east)by drawing your right leg-your rear leg in the left front stance-forward as you turn into right walking stance. At the same time, reverse inside block with the left hand. Step forward into left walking stance and reverse middle punch with the right hand.

Turn all the way around to your left(west)into left walking stance, pivoting on the right foot.  Reverse inside block with the right hand.Step forward into right walking stance and reverse punch with the left hand.

Turn to the right(north), pivoting on the left foot and moving the right foot forward into right front stance.  Down block with the right arm, followed immediately by reverse middle punch with the left fist.

Turn to the left(west)and draw your left leg(the rear leg in the right front stance) up and forward into left walking stance.  At the same time, high block with the left arm.

Front snap kick with the right leg, step down and forward into right walking stance, and front middle punch with the right hand.

Turn all the way around to your right(east)into right walking stance.  High block with the right arm.

The opposite of #12. Front snap kick with the left leg, holding the right arm in the high block position. As you remember the kick, point the right arm toward the middle target.  Then throw the left front middle punch as you step down and forward into left walking stance.

Turn to the right(south)and step forward with the left leg-not the right-into left front stance.  Down block with the left arm.Step forward into right front stance, front middle punch with the right arm, and kiyap!

Pivoting on the right foot and moving the left foot, turn all the way around to the left to face north again, finishing in ba ro position.

GREEN BELT to Blue

General Knowledge

"Poomse"(Form)-Forms are a series of systematic movements which are necessary for defense and attack.  Each belt level has its own form in TaeKwonDo by practicing the form, one begins to learn subtly of movement, grace, & power.

A serious student must realize that with time and effort you can achieve any goal, Remember along the journey to your goal that you may experience highs and lows.  A true winner will never tire of learning.

ONE- STEP SPARRING

Skip side step left to outside of opponent (riding horse stance) and block punch with left palm block, right left double punch.  Skip side step back to fighting stance. Switch feet and execute right skip side kick to opponent’s stomach. *Extra caution is needed when moving toward the side where the attack is coming from.

Step forward right back stance and execute right outside/in middle block, right back fist to face. Twist your body counter clockwise and strike to the stomach with left elbow. Twist clockwise and strike the face with right elbow as you spin back out to fighting stance, execute right roundhouse kick. *Support the striking arm for more power.

Step into right front stance and execute left inside/out middle block. Twist your body to riding horse stance and execute right punch. Step back to fighting stance (right foot back) and execute left skip side kick. * Control your distance accordingly as you move back to execute the kicks.

FORM : Taegeuk E Jang

Turn left (west) into left walking stance and down block with the left arm.

Step forward into right front stance and front middle punch with the right fist.

Turn all the way around to the right(east) into right walking stance and down block with the right arm

Step forward into left front stance and front middle punch with the left arm.

Pivot left(north), pulling the left foot in and placing it in front of you to assume left walking stance.  At the same time, throw a reverse inside block with the right  arm.

Step forward into right walking stance

Pivot left (west), moving the left foot into left walking stance, and down block with the left arm

Front snap kick with the right leg.  Land forward in right front stance and front high punch with the right hand.

Moving the right foot, pivot all the way around to the right(east) into right walking stance and down block with the right hand.

Front snap kick with the left leg and land forward in left front stance.   Front high punch with the left hand.

Turn to the left(north), moving the left foot into left walking stance, and high block with the left arm.

Step forward into right walking stance and high block with the right arm.

Pivoting on your right foot, turn 270 degrees(east), sweeping your left foot around to finish in left walking stance.  Reverse inside block with the right arm as you complete the turn. Since it is impossible to turn your head far enough around to see where you are going before you begin the turn, first look over your right shoulder rather than your left.  Then, as you begin the pivot, turn your head the other way so that you can spot your finishing position.  As you turn, extend the left fist to point and chamber the right hand for the reverse inside block.

Turn around to your right(west), sweeping your right foot across behind you to finish in right walking stance. Reverse inside block with the left arm as you come into position.

Pivot left(south),moving the left foot into left walking stance with a left-arm down block.

Right-leg front snap kick, stepping forward into right walking stance with right-arm front middle punch.

Left-leg front snap kick, stepping forward into left walking stance with left-arm front middle punch.

Right-leg front snap kick, stepping forward into right walking stance, right-arm front middle punch, and kiyap!

Moving the left foot, pivot all the way around to the left(north) to come back to ba ro.

1. Step into right to fighting stance, execute left roundhouse kick and right spin kick

2. Step into right front stance and execute left inside/out middle block. Twist body to riding horse stance and execute right middle punch. Grab back of attacker’s head with left and execute left knee to opponent’s ribs as you pull attacker’s head down and finish with right knife hand strike to neck.

3. Skip step to the right. Palm block face with right hand, closed fist block left thigh. Execute roundhouse kick with right leg.

  2. Right side kick and right hook kick to right front stance, right outside/in middle block, right back fist strike to face. Twist body counter clockwise and execute left elbow strike to chest. * Attempt to sweep low for additional fake move
  3. Switch feet, right hook kick and right roundhouse kick, then left spin kick. * Place your foot properly before executing a spin kick

High Red BELT to Deputy Black 1

General Knowledge

The Korean flag is called Tae Geuk.  Various corner sections represent fire, water, sky and earth.  The central design indicates that while there is a constant   movement within the sphere of infinity, there are also balance and harmony.

The American flag was designed to demonstrate the unification of the 13 Colonies as they separated from England.  The flag consist of 13 stripes, each stripe representing one of the original colonies.  The colors of red and white signify the courage and loyalty of the colonist.  As American grew, one star was added on the field of blue for each state in the union.


ONE-STEP SPARRING

1.   Right crescent outside/inside axe kick, right double side kick.
2.   Left inside/outside axe, right outside/inside axe, turn counter clock wise with right hand knife strike, right hand grab opponent collar, pull down sweep left foot, front stance, right hand double punch.
3.  Jumping left side kick, right foot jumping spinning heel kick, right foot double roundhouse kick.
