At Kim's Academy of Taekwondo it's about personal development; learning how to overcome the challenges every child faces today; developing the ability to overcome their internal fears; unleashing that powerful, unstoppable force within them.
This strength will give your child the ability to become the goal oriented, driven to succeed, successful, happy adult you want them to be. This is what Kim's Academy of Taekwondo can do for your child!
Wouldn't you like to have your child be surrounded by this kind of healthy and personal growth based enviroment?
Academic Achievement
Courteous Behavior - Respect
Listening to and Obeying Parents
Physical Fitness
Success Skills
Healthy Lifestyle
Self-Defense
Concentration/Focus
Confidence
Goal Setting Skills
Positive Peer Group
Leadership Training
Perseverance
Finish difficult tasks
Community Involvement
Alternative to Television and hanging out
All this comes while learning to kick, block and punch. But what really happens is your child's biggest challenge won't come from learning how to beat up the neighborhood bully or throw that perfect kick. Instead it will come from the most destructive force in your child's life; self doubt and their own fears.
It's the internal message they repeat to themselves every day:
I'm not good enough? I don't deserve to be happy? Will I ever be able to do this? Nobody likes me?
The question for you is, how can you help your child overcome their doubts and fears, and, even if you could, their own self-doubt to simply ask you for help?
Well, for over 13 years we have developed time tested solutions for you. These solutions have been proven over and over again at Kim's Academy of Taekwondo. They are lessons your child can learn quicker and easier than you think.
They are contained in our Martial Arts Programs. These programs focus on developing a student's ability to handle today's challenges with tools taught in each and every class. Let me repeat myself:
- Martial Arts training isn't just about learning to kick, block and punch -
Feel free to come in and see for yourself how we train our students. Your child will have the opportunity to begin a positive relationship with the instructors and we'll be able to sit down and answer all of your questions you might have about our program.
FREE Student-Parent Conference! Before and during your introductory program, we'll meet one on one to discuss your child's needs and your child's progress. We'll educate you about our program and help you understand how your child's development will progress. We'll give you tips on how to work with your child to reinforce the valuable lessons they are learning.

Congrats to Nathan Moos!
We always try to recognize our
student’ s achievements outside of the
dojang when we hear about them.
Nathan Moos has embarked on a
community crusade that is changing the
way parents think about the environment
around school pick up/drop off zones. He
was featured on KSL and Nickelodeon for
his ground breaking idea that has
become a State law. He was one of 11
students world wide that were chosen as
environmental student leaders in their
community. Here is the video of Nathan being featured on Nickelodeon and KSL Channel 5 News...
Announcing Buddy
Week!!
Wanna show off your TKD skills,
awesome discipline, focus, and
concentration with your friends??
Kim’ s Academy of Sandy is excited to
announce the beginning of a new
program that will be held during 1 week
of every month.
During this time students are allowed to
bring friends to class with them for an
entire week. We will provide a white belt
that the students’ buddy will wear
during class. We will break up part of
the class to teach the Buddies basic
techniques and the rest of the classes
they all participate together. Buddies
must be at least 4-5 years old for Little
Tigers classes and 6 years old on up for
regular children's classes.
We will be sending home a flier with
more details shortly, so start thinking
about which friends you want to bring to
class! (Students can bring multiple
Buddies during the week, please do not
bring buddies in conjunction with a
birthday party).
2009 & 2010 Best of State Winner!
Master Markman and
Mr. Dutson attended the Best of State Gala
where we were honored to receive the
award for Best Martial Arts School in Utah for the 2nd year in a row.
It was very humbling and exciting. We are
deeply honored to be voted the top school
in the state. We couldn’ t have done it
without the outstanding leadership of
Master Markman and our wealth of great
instructors.
Most importantly we couldn’ t have done it
without the support of all the parents and
students. You’ ll never know how much we
appreciate your support and loyalty to our
school over the years. Being voted Best of
State is humbling and comes with great
responsibility. It inspires us to be even
better instructors in the development of all
of our students and to help build a better
community around us. Thank you!!!!
